Study on Harvest Maturity of Flue-cured Tobacco at Different Altitudes Based on SPAD Value
In order to explore the harvesting standards of tobacco leaf maturity at different altitudes, the main variety K326 in Zhangjiajie City was taken as the research object, and SPAD-502 chlorophyll analyzer was used to measure the SPAD values of fresh tobacco leaves with dif-ferent maturity in the upper, middle and lower parts of the altitude area of 400 m and 600 m, and analyze the appearance quality, sensory quality and economic characteristics of tobacco leaves with different maturity. The aim is to find out the suitable SPAD value of different parts under different elevations. The results showed that the SPAD values of the lower tobacco were 26.57-29.99, the middle fresh tobacco 15.48-23.08, and the upper fresh tobacco 17.19-20.81 at 400 m altitude. At 600 m altitude, the SPAD values suitable for harvesting of the lower leaves were 21.60-24.06, the middle fresh leaves 19.82-24.40, and the upper fresh leaves 13.49-16.65. The appearance quality of the cured leaves was better, and the sensory quality was in a higher grade.
