Biological Characteristics,Physiological Indices and Nutritional Composition of Saccostrea mordax from Four Typical Distribution Ar-eas in Shenzhen City
[Objective]To investigate the biological characteristics, physiological and biochemical indices, and nutritional composition of wild Saccostrea mordax from four typical distribution areas in Shenzhen City, and compare the differences among oysters from different regions,so as to provide a basis for resource protection and utilization.[Method]Wild S.mordax were collected from Dapeng Bay,Dongshan Bay,Yougan Bay,and Xichongkou in Shenzhen City.Their morphological parameters including shell length, height and width were measured.Antioxidant en-zymes,immune enzymes and other physiological indices were detected.Nutritional components such as fatty acids and proteins were analyzed.[Result]Significant differences were observed in shell morphology and several physiological indices among oysters from the four areas.S.mordax from Dongshan Bay had more elongated shells, higher antioxidant capacities and acid phosphatase activities.Yougan Bay oysters exhibited the strongest lysozyme activities and the highest levels of fatty acids and glycogen.[Conclusion]Environmental conditions in different regions are decisive factors leading to the variations in oysters.S.mordax from Dongshan Bay and Yougan Bay are under higher environmental pressures and have formed stronger physiological adaptability.
