Tobacco agriculture has improved the production efficiency of tobacco leaves, the quality of cured tobacco and farmers'income through the implementation of facility agriculture and full-process mechanization. However,it still faces efficiency problems in tobacco field management caused by non-linearity,interactivity,and multi-scale challenges. We applied digital twin theory and technology to a tobacco field management system in the Kunming area.A multi-element Internet of Things(IoT)data collection device was designed, combined with un-manned aerial vehicle oblique photography technology,to establish a digital twin model of the tobacco field. This model created a virtual control over the reality through online reasoning and feedback systems, with a practical application in tobacco nitrogen management. This resulted in da-ta-driven tobacco field farm management. The results showed that digital twin technology could significantly improve the management efficiency of tobacco agriculture, with nitrogen management efficiency increased by 71%.Digital twin technology had broad application potential in the en-tire process of tobacco field management, providing a reference for the digital transformation of tobacco agriculture.
