Research Progress on Regulation Mechanism of Plant Dehydrin in Response to Stresses
Dehydrin (DHN),a kind of hydrophilic proteins involved in the responses to various stresses,is essential for healthy growth and fruit accumulation of the crops. The barren soil in Inner Mongolia is nutritional deficiency relatively, and the salinization is more serious.Plants have acquired the function of secreting dehydrin for the long-term evolution and development, that could stabilize the structure of plasma mem-brane by regulating the water transpiration rate,to adapt to the soil stress environment such as drought, high salt and high temperature.There-fore,the breeding of crop varieties secreted more dehydrin was an important way to achieve sustainable agriculture. The molecular structure of dehydrin protein and the regulation mechanism in different stresses reviewed here would provide some references for the further researches on the cultivation of new crops with high yields and stress resistances.
