Effects of Pb Stress on Physiological Growth Characteristics of Mentha haplocalyx Seedlings
Using Mentha haplocalyx seedlings as the research object, the effects of different concentrations of lead acetate at 200, 400, 600, 800, and 1000 mg/L on the physiological growth characteristics of Mentha haplocalyx were studied. The results showed that with the increase of Pb concentration, the plant height of Mentha haplocalyx seedlings was promoted at low concentration and inhibited at high concentration. When the Pb stress level was 200 mg/L, the promotion effect was the most obvious.Under different concentrations of lead acetate treatment, the chlorophyll, MDA, soluble sugar content and SOD activity of Mentha haplocalyx seedlings increased first and then decreased with the in-crease of lead concentration. The proline content increased with the increase of Pb concentration, and reached the maximum at the Pb concen-tration of 1000 mg/L, which was significantly different from CK.
