Analysis of Spatial-temporal Characteristics and Obstacle Factors of Agricultural and Rural Modernization Development Level in Five Cities of Hexi, China
Based on the data from five cities in Hexi from 2006 to 2020, the article constructs an evaluation indicator system including agricul-tural modernization, rural modernization, farmer modernization, and urban-rural integration.The development level of agricultural and rural modernization in five cities of Hexi was evaluated by using the entropy weight-Topsis model and obstacle degree model.The results showed that: From the overall perspective, the comprehensive development level of agricultural and rural modernization in the five cities of Hexi has gradually increased, but the growth rate is slow, and there is a downward trend in 2019; from the spatial dimension, the five cities in Hexi have significant spatial difference in agricultural and rural modernization, and the regional difference increases with time; from the obstacle factor, rural modernization and agricultural modernization are the main factors hindering the development of agricultural and rural moderniza-tion in the five cities of Hexi.To achieve high-quality development of agricultural and rural modernization in the five cities of Hexi, we may take measures in the following ways: Step up innovation in agricultural science and technology and strengthen the construction of rural infra-structure; improve the social security system for farmers and persist in promoting urban-rural integration; strengthen cooperation in agricultural science and technology among cities and help build the beautiful countryside.
