On the basis of comprehensive consideration of the positive and negative ecological values of cultivated land,the ecological service value equivalent factor method and alternative market method were used to estimate the ecological value,and combined with an improved eco-logical footprint model,the quantification of ecological compensation for cultivated land was achieved.The results showed that from the perspec-tive of ecological value of cultivated land,the ecological positive value and negative value of cultivated land in Xuzhou City showed a trend of"rapid increase"to"gradual decrease". The positive ecological value of cultivated land far exceeded its negative value,accounting for 3.24-6.44 times the negative value.From the perspective of ecological footprint and compensation of cultivated land,the ecological carrying capacity of cultivated land in Xuzhou City showed a trend of first decreasing,then increasing and then decreasing. However,the ecological footprint of cultivated land had always been decreasing,and the compensation value of cultivated land showed a trend of first increasing and then decrea-sing.
