Research on the Impact of Digital Economy on the Urban-rural Integration in Hubei Province
Based on the panel data of 12 prefecture-level cities in Hubei Province from 2010 to 2020,this paper examines the direct impact and spatial spillover impact of digital economy on the urban-rural integration development of Hubei Province through dual fixed-effect model and spatial econometric model respectively. The intermediary effect model is used to explore the mediating role of factor circulation,optimal al-location,employment drive,consumption increase and structural upgrade in the process of digital economy affecting urban-rural integration and development. Finally,countermeasures and suggestions are put forward. The empirical results show that:①Digital economy not only has a di-rect impact on rural-urban integration in this region,but also has a spillover effect on other regions. While promoting the local rural-urban inte-gration development,it can also promote the improvement of the development level of rural-urban integration in surrounding areas and play a ra-diating role in driving it.②Digital economy is conducive to promoting urban-rural integration and affects the urban-rural integration develop-ment of Hubei Province through factor circulation,optimal allocation,employment drive,consumption increase and structural upgrading.
