Effects of Drought Stress on the Physiological Characteristics of Seedlings of Different Tea Varieties
A potted water control experiment was conduct to study the changes in chlorophyll relative content, antioxidant enzyme activity, and osmotic adjustment substance content of three tea varieties under drought stress, and comprehensively evaluated the drought resistance of three tea varieties by membership function method. The results showed that compared with CK,drought stress significantly increased the activities of superoxide dismutase(SOD),peroxidase(POD),catalase(CAT)and the contents of malondialdehyde(MDA),soluble protein, soluble sugar and proline in the seedlings leaves of three tea varieties, while significantly reduced the relative content of chlorophyll. With the extension of drought stress time to 15 days, chlorophyll relative content in the leaves of three tea varieties showed a decreased trend, and the malondialde-hyde(MDA)content increased and then decreased;the activities of SOD,POD,and CAT increased rapidly, and tend to stable after 11 days of stress;the contents of soluble protein, soluble sugar, and proline showed a significant increased trend. In addition, the results of membership function method showed that the drought resistance of three tea varieties was ranked as follows:Bantang C>Zhongcha 108>Wangfengrui-6.
