Study on the Spatiotemporal Differences and Evolutionary Characteristics of High-Quality Rural Tourism Development in the Yan-gtze River Economic Belt
High-quality rural tourism is a catalyst for bridging the urban-rural cultural divide, elevating the living standards of farmers, and propelling rural revitalization.Understanding the spatiotemporal dynamics of this development is crucial for its advancement. In this study,an evaluation index for high-quality rural tourism development is established, employing the entropy method to score it in the Yangtze River Eco-nomic Belt from 2010 to 2021.Regional disparities are analyzed using the Theil index. The findings are as follows:Rural tourism quality in the Yangtze River Economic Belt steadily improved, with a slight decline during the epidemic. While the green ecological dimension decreased, other indicators showed an upward trend.Clear regional differences exist, with the lower reaches>upper reaches>middle reaches.Overall disparities in rural tourism development have gradually narrowed.Overall disparities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt continue to decrease, with regional trends exerting a more pronounced impact.Differences in the upper, middle, and lower reaches and their influence on overall disparities demonstrate differentiation. In light of these findings, policy recommendations include enhancing urban infrastructure, promoting green development, and deepening rural economic integration. These actions aim to sustain the positive trajectory of rural tourism and foster its continued growth.
