Investigation and Study on the Sustainability of Typical Small Watersheds in Yulin Sandy Area Based on ArcGIS
Using geographic information system (ArcGIS) technology, field surveys, and other methods to analyze the geographical character-istics (altitude, slope, aspect) and land use status of the Qinhe small watershed. The results showed that the altitude of the Qinhe small water-shed was 1062-1226 meters, with higher elevations in the southwest and lower elevations in the northeast;the overall slope of the small wa-tershed was relatively low, roughly below 6 °,indicating that the overall terrain of the small watershed was smooth. From the surface slope of the small watershed,it could be seen that it was a shaded or semi shaded slope with an area of 2957.36 km2,accounting for 65.80% of the watershed area. The analysis of the current status of the land use of the Qinhe Basin could be seen that after the management, the structure of the land use was more reasonable, but it still needs to be further improved.
