Polygonum hydropipe is a common annual herbaceous plant in the Polygonaceae family,with dense plants,easy reproduction,long flowering period,good flowering effect,and extensive management,making it very suitable for ornamental planting. This article analyzes and summarizes the various excellent properties of Polygonum hydropiper in Shijiazhuang area through investigation,introduction and domestication experiments,tolerance experiments,and planting with different garden plants. It is proposed that Polygonum hydropiper can be promoted and used as a garden landscape cover,aiming to provide a certain reference basis for the widespread application and promotion of this plant in the future.
