Study on Antibacterial Peptide Characteristics and Antibacterial Spectrum of Three Strains of Bacillus
[Objective]The aim of this experiment was to isolate and screen Bacillus with antibacterial properties and study its antibacterial spectrum.[Method]From 71 strains of Bacillus spp.isolated and identified in the laboratory,we screened out new species of Bacillus 018,Bacil-lus velezensis F and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens 221,which are highly inhibitory to Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, the genetic evolu-tion tree of 3 strains of Bacillus was established and compared, and the antimicrobial peptides were extracted by acid precipitation method. The antibacterial spectra of 3 strains of Bacillus against 11 strains of animal pathogens were compared.[Result]The results showed that the antimi-crobial peptides produced by the three strains of Bacillus had different antibacterial properties. The antibacterial peptide extracts of the three strains in the antibacterial spectrum were in line with the antibacterial properties of the seven strains in the test strain against the indicator bac-teria,but slightly different against Aeromonas vickerii,Aeromonas hydrophila and Actinobacillus transinfectious pleuropneumoniae.[Conclusion]The results show that Bacillus can provide reference for the development of bioactive additives or bioantibacterial drugs using antimicrobial pep-tides.
