Study on the Spinnability of Island Cotton of Different Quality Types
The spinnability of different quality types of Island cotton was evaluated by using conventional cotton spinning combing process.The results show:the higher Macron value can effectively control the neps when spinning high count yarn,the fiber fineness and fiber strength are more useful to the improvement of yarn strength when spinning low count yarn,the long fiber length is helpful to control of the neps,and the higher fiber strength is beneficial to the improvement of yarn strength.
