Pseudomonas oryzihabitans,a group of non-fermenting,aerobic gram-negative bacillus, has been listed in the National Center for Bi-otechnology Information(NCBI)with more than 1 500 strains since first discovered in 1984.These strains are widely found in diseased hu-mans,animals,and plants,as well as in soil, water, and other environments. Some strains of P.oryzihabitans,as pathogenic bacteria common to humans, animals, and plants, pose a potential threat to human health and agricultural development;meanwhile, some strains can be used as plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria to promote green and sustainable development of agricultural production. In order to provide a reference for the prevention and application of P.oryzihabitans, the biological characteristics, pathogenicity, and application of P.oryzihabitans were reviewed in this paper.
