Sugar residue,molasses and filter mud are the three typical by-products of sugar mills,and they are also the main objects of com-prehensive utilization and new product development in sugar mills.Based on the composition and physicochemical properties of by-products and waste in sugar mills,this paper reviewed the latest research results on by-products utilization of sugarcane and beet at home and abroad in re-cent years,and provided references for the comprehensive utilization of by-products and the new ways of agricultural waste utilization in Chi-nese sugar enterprises.
