Correlation Analysis Between Main Agronomic Traits and Yield of Three Types of Fresh Corns
[Objective]To explore the impact of the main agronomic traits of fresh corn on yield,to provide a theoretical basis for the breeding and cultivation of high-quality and high-yield fresh corn in Hongta District.[Method]Grey correlation analysis was applied to analyze the cor-relation between 10 agronomic traits and yield of three types of fresh corn varieties:glutinous corn,sweet glutinous corn and sweet corn.[Re-sult]The correlation between the main agronomic traits and yield of the three types of fresh corn is different.The top four characters of gluti-nous corn were ear rows＞fresh weight per ear＞ear diameter＞ear grain number,sweet glutinous corn was in the order of ear grain number＞ear length＞ear rows＞fresh weight per ear,and sweet corn was in the order of whole plant leaf number＞growth period＞ear height＞plant height.[Conclusion]The main factors affecting the yield of glutinous corn and sweet glutinous corn were the ear traits,attention should be paid to the selection of ear traits in variety breeding;the main factors affecting the yield of sweet corn were nutrient growth traits,and the accumulation of nutri-ents during the long growth period led to an increase in the number of leaves,ear position and plant height of the whole plant,laying the foundation for the transfer of nutrients to the ear.Therefore,attention should be paid to the selection of nutrient growth traits.
