Ruanhuayou 197 is a new hybrid rice combination with good quality and temperature sensitivity bred by South China Agricultural University.It has the characteristics of excellent plant type,thick stem,fertilizer resistance and lodging resistance,large panicles and multiple grains,good yield and excellent rice quality.In 2023,it was approved by the Guangxi crop new varieties examination and was suitable for planting in south Guangxi and central Guangxi.The breeding process,characteristics,cultivation and seed production techniques of this variety were introduced,so as to provide reference for its further promotion and application.
