Spatio-Temporal Evolution Characteristics of Habitat Quality in Typical Tourist Destination:A Case Study of Wuyuan County
Taking Wuyuan County,a typical tourist destination,as the research object, this study quantitatively evaluates the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of habitat quality and its spatial relationship with tourism el-ements from 2000 to 2020 using multi-source data such as land use, statistical yearbooks, and Gaode maps,com-bined with InVEST model, hotspot analysis, and kernel density analysis methods. The results indicate that:(1)The main types of land use in Wuyuan County are forest land, cultivated land and grassland. From 2000 to 2020,the area of dry land, other forest land and medium coverage grassland decreased significantly, while other con-struction land, urban land and reservoir ponds all increased in varying degrees.(2)The overall quality of the habi-tat in Wuyuan County is good, with a slight and accelerated decline in the average value. The decline in the latter ten years is significantly greater than that in the first ten years.Low value areas are distributed in bands or patches along densely populated areas with human activities, while high value areas are most prominent in the northern hills and central plains.Hot spot analysis shows that"the north is hot and the south is cold".The change in land use structure is the main reason for the increase in the proportion of low habitat quality and the decrease in high habitat quality in Wuyuan County as a whole.(3)Tourism activity is the external driving force that affects the change of habitat quality.Areas with high kernel density of tourism elements are spatially consistent with areas with degraded habitat quality. The higher the kernel density, the greater the proportion of low-grade habitat quali-ty;The aggregation of high-level tourism resources, flat terrain, and convenient transportation make the habitat degradation more significant.
