From June to August 2022,based on tools such as harp nets, mist nets, and copy nets, the diversity of cave dwelling Chiroptera in the mountainous areas of southern Anhui Province had been investigated. During the survey,a total of 17 species of chiropterans were found in 4 genera within 4 families, including 8 species of Rhi-nolophidae,accounting for 47.05%,2 species of Hoofed Bats in the family Hipposideridae, accounting for 11.76%,6 species of Vespertilionidae, accounting for 35.29% and 1 species of Miniopteridae, accounting for 5.88%. This survey disclosed that the mountainous area of southern Anhui has a high diversity level species richness of cave dwelling bats in Anhui Province. In addition, based on the investigation, the endangered level, protection status, and faunal characteristics of cave dwelling bats in these mountainous areas were summarized. This survey can provide scientific basis for the later investiga-tion and monitoring of chiropteran animal resources in Anhui Province.
