Analysis of Space-Time Characteristics of Ecological Environment Quality in the Yangtze River Delta
The development of cities occupies a large amount of natural resources and poses a serious threat to hu-man life and development.Objectively and meticulously assessing the quality of the ecological environment plays an important role in achieving the goal of sustainable development today.This paper takes the Yangtze River Delta as the research area.Based on the principle of remote sensing ecological index model,five indicators including greenness,humidity,heat,dryness,and abundance were extracted from MODIS related datasets and long-term land use datasets.The principal component analysis method was used to synthesize the indicators and quantitative-ly evaluate the ecological environment quality of the research area.Then,the spatial and temporal distribution characteristics of ecological environment quality in the Yangtze River Delta from 2001 to 2021 were analyzed by three scales:the pixel-level,the city-level and the county-level and the long-term spatial and temporal changes were analyzed by statistical analysis method.The results show that:1)The spatial pattern of the ecological envi-ronment quality in the Yangtze River Delta varies greatly from north to south and from east to west,and the pre-liminary analysis shows that this phenomenon has a certain relationship with the economic level,topography and temperature of the city.2)Based on the analysis of the change of ecological environment quality in the Yangtze River Delta in the long term,the ecological environment quality in most areas of the Yangtze River Delta has been reduced by varying degrees since 2001.3)The aggregation characteristics of the ecological environment quality in the Yangtze River Delta present three kinds of situations.The southern region,mainly Zhejiang Prov-ince,shows an obvious"high-high"aggregation characteristics.The northern region,mainly northern Anhui Province,shows a"low-low"aggregation,while the eastern region,mainly Shanghai and its surrounding ar-eas,generally shows a"low-low"aggregation.
