As one of the most representative strands of contemporary Western animal political philosophy,Nussbaum's Animal Justice Theory is dedicated to breaking the traditional thinking that excludes animals from ethical and justice theories,and advocates that animals deserve the right to justice and to live a dignified and prosperous life.She proposes a list of"core capability"to justify animal justice,and suggests that"wise paternalism"be used to implement animal justice.Although Nussbaum's idea of animal justice has its flaws and shortcomings,it can inspire us to think about how to take responsibility for animals,help promote the study of animal ethics,environmental ethics,and animal poli-tics,and provide an important reference for practicing the"community of life between human beings and nature".
