Survey on the current situation of first-time HIV antibody testers among MSM population in a certain district of Beijing City
Objective To investigate the first-time HIV antibody testers among men who have sex with men(MSM)popula-tion in a certain district of Beijing City,so as to understand their knowledge,attitude,behavior status,and HIV infection sta-tus.Methods The"snowball"method was used to find respondents to the survey,providing them with rapid HIV antibody testing services,and conducting face-to-face questionnaire surveys.SPSS 18.0 was used for statistical analysis.Results A total of 395 subjects were included in this survey,with an average age of(32.0±6.8)years old.The proportion of unmarried was 63.8%(252/395),the proportion of bachelor's degree or above was 54.4%(215/395),and the proportion of homosex-ual orientation was 69.9%(276/395).91.4%(361/395)of those who sought gay partners online through internet plat-forms,and 74.4%of them knew about HIV/AIDS.The mean age of first sexual intercourse was(26.0±5.2)years,and the minimum age was 13 years.In the last six months,23.8%(94/395)had unprotected homosexual sex,96.2%(380/395)had sex with one to three people,38.2%(151/395)had intercourse with female,62.3%(94/395)used condoms every time they had sex with the female.The HIV antibody positive rate was 8.1%(32/395),and the HIV infection rate among those who engage in unprotected sexual activity was 23.4%(22/94)in the past six months.Conclusion The positive rate of HIV antibody of first-time HIV antibody testers among MSM population in a certain district of Beijing City is high,the awareness rate of AIDS knowledge is low,and there are high-risk behaviors of HIV infection.
