Oral health survey and correlation study of oral health-related quality of life in patients with Sj?gren's syndrome
Objective To understand the oral health status of patients with Sjögren's syndrome and explore the influencing factors of oral health related quality of life in patients with Sjögren's syndrome.Methods 80 patients with Sjögren's syn-drome who attended the Rheumatology department of a Grade-A tertiary hospital in Hefei City,Anhui Province from Novem-ber 2022 to June 2023 were randomly selected as the objects of study.Questionnaires and oral examinations were conduc-ted.Univariate analysis was used to analyze the influencing factors of oral health-related quality of life in patients with Sjögren's syndrome.Results The Oral health-related quality of life in patients with Sjögren's syndrome was 21.26(14.25,29.75),Age(Z=-2.685,P=0.007),monthly income per capita(H=11.569,P=0.009),duration of disease(H=11.730,P=0.003),daily cleaning habits(H=9.683,P=0.008),decayed-missing-filled teeth(DMFT)(H=10.646,P=0.005),community periodontal index(CPI)in the right upper posterior region(H=18.248,P=0.003),CPI in upper anterior teeth(H=14.636,P=0.002),CPI in left upper posterior teeth(H=18.349,P=0.003),CPI in right lower poste-rior region(H=19.410,P=0.004),CPI in lower left posterior region(H=15.751,P=0.008)and denture re-pair type(H=18.388,P=0.005)had an impact on oral health-related quality of life in patients with Sjögren's syndrome.Conclu-sion Patients with Sjögren's syndrome have poor oral health condition and low oral health-related quality of life,and the factors affecting oral health-related quality of life are age,monthly income per capita,duration of disease,daily cleaning habits,DMFT,CPI in the right upper posterior region,CPI in upper anterior teeth,CPI in left upper posterior teeth,CPI in right lower posterior region,CPI in lower left posterior region and denture repair type.
