Analysis of HIV epidemic characteristics in Shucheng County,Anhui Province from 2003 to 2022
Objective To understand the epidemic characteristics of HIV in Shucheng County,and to provide data support for the development of HIV prevention and intervention measures.Methods The data of HIV infected persons and AIDS patients(HIV/AIDS)reported by Shucheng County from 2003 to 2022 were collected and statistically analyzed with SPSS 20.0 software.Results A total of 283 HIV/AIDS patients were reported from 2003 to 2022 in Shucheng County,with an average annual growth rate of 19.60%.Among them,males accounted for 87.28%,with a gender ratio of 6.86∶1,and main-ly consisting of middle-aged and young people,those with junior high school education or below,and farmers.The proportion of cases aged 55-72 was on the rise(x2trend=4.509,P=0.034).Homosexual transmission accounted for 42.76%(121/283),while heterosexual transmission accounted for 53.00%(150/283).The proportion of delayed cases was 43.46%(123/283),showing an overall downward trend(x2trend=5.865,P=0.016).The cases were mainly detected through consul-tation testing,other testing by medical institutions,and preoperative testing,accounting for 49.12%,27.56%,and 8.48%,respectively.Conclusion HIV in Shucheng County is in a low prevalence state,with sexual transmission being the main route,and targeted intervention measures need to be taken for different populations.
