Investigation of common diseases profiles of inpatient newborns in Ma'anshan Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from 2012 to 2021
Objective To understand the spectrum of common diseases among hospitalized newborns in Ma'anshan Maternal Child Health Care Hospital from 2012 to 2021,and provide a reference for taking corresponding prevention and treatment measures.Methods The clinical data of 11 770 hospitalized newborns in Ma'anshan Maternal and Child Health Care Hos-pital from 2012 to 2021 were collected,which were statistically analyzed by SPSS 23.0.Results Among the 11 770 chil-dren,there were 2 713 cases of preterm infants,accounting for 23.1%,and 9 057 cases of full-term infants,accounting for 76.9%.Neonatal pneumonia,neonatal hyperbilirubinemia,and congenital heart disease were the main diseases of hospital-ized newborns,with incidence rate of 50.8%,37.0%,and 32.8%,respectively.The incidence of neonatal pneumonia,con-genital heart disease,and intracranial hemorrhage in preterm infants was higher than that in full-term infants(P<0.05).The incidence of six common gestational diseases among mothers of preterm infants was higher than that of mothers of full-term infants(P<0.05).Conclusion The main diseases of hospitalized newborns in Ma'anshan Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital are neonatal pneumonia,neonatal hyperbilirubinemia,and congenital heart disease.More attention should be paid to the situation of hospitalized newborns with pregnancy diseases in preterm infants and newborn mothers,so as to achieve early detection and treatment,and improve prognosis.
