Analysis on disinfection effect of old-age care institutions in Anhui Province in 2022
Objective To understand the disinfection and hygiene status of the old-age institutions in Anhui Province,and provide reference for promoting the disinfection and hygiene work of the old-age institutions.Methods In 2022,49 institu-tions for the elderly in 24 counties(cities,districts)of Anhui Province were selected as monitoring sites to investigate their basic conditions,and three types of environmental samples collected from the surfaces,staff hands and table ware were ana-lyzed for bacteriological testing,and the hygienic status of disinfection was analyzed.Results In 2022,4 507 samples were monitored in Anhui Province.The total number of bacterial colonies on the surface of the objects,dining utensils,and hands of staff in non-medical elderly care institutions was lower than that of medical elderly care institutions(P＜0.05).In the dis-infection monitoring samples of different objects,total bacterial colony count from low to high was as follows:object surface,dining utensils,and staff hands(H=259.012,P＜0.001).In different surface monitoring samples of objects,total bacterial colony count from low to high was as follows:armrest surface,tables and chairs,door handles,public items,elevator but-tons,and faucets(H=69.530,P＜0.001).The total number of bacterial colonies in hand monitored samples from different staff members ranked from low to high was healthcare doctors,logistics personnel,cleaning personnel,nursing staff,and nut-ritionists(H=25.975,P＜O.001).Total bacterial colony count in samples monitored by different hand drying methods,from low to high was as follows:disposable tissues,natural air drying,and towels(H=66.436,P＜0.001).Conclusion The disinfection and hygiene situation of the retirement institutions in Anhui Province is not promising.The hand hygiene of the staff,especially the nursing staff,and the cleaning and disinfection of tableware should be strengthened.
