Risk assessment of healthcare-associated infection management in a general hospital in Zhejiang Province
Objective To analyze the risk assessment of healthcare-associated infection(HAI)management in a general hospital in Zhejiang Province. Methods The risk indicators of HAI management were identified and divided into manage-ment indicators, outcome indicators and process indicators in a general hospital in Zhejiang Province in 2022.Indicators were scored on three dimensions:the probability of the risk occurring, the potential severity of the risk if it occurs, and the readiness of the hospital to respond to the risk if it occurs.Risk assessment was conducted on clinical departments in differ-ent areas of the hospital. Results The top 3 departments that ranked the highest risk in the surgical system were neurosur-gery,ICU-Ⅰ,and ICU-Ⅲ.The high-risk departments in the internal medicine system were emergency ICU,ICU-Ⅱ,and geri-atric area. The high-risk departments in the maternal and child system were neonatal monitoring rooms. The average risk val-ue of clinical departments in surgical area(120.94)was higher than that of internal medicine area(113.15).Conclusion The accuracy and authenticity of the assessment results are high, which provides data support for the next step of HAI management work.
