Assessmentof health-related quality of life and its influencing factors analysis in the inpatientswith rheumatoid arthritis based on EQ-5D-5L scale
Objective Todiscussthe health-related quality of life(HRQoL)in inpatients with rheumatoid arthritis(RA)and analyze its influencing factors. Methods From April to September 2023,the survey was conducted using the European Quality of Life Five Dimension Five Level Scale(EQ-5D-5L)and a self-designed questionnaire on200 RA inpatientsat the Department of Rheumatology and Immunology in the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Traditional Chinese. The health description system and the European Quality Visual Ana-logue Scale(EQ-VAS)of EQ-5D-5Lwere used to measure the health utility and overall health status scores of RA patients, respectively. The in-fluencing factors on HRQoL of RA patients were analyzed using t-test or One-way ANOVA,and Tobit regression model analysis was con-ducted to analyze the effects of basic information, clinical manifestations, and laboratoryindexesonHRQoL of RA patients. Results A total of 190 valid questionnaires were collected, with an effective recovery of 95%,the health utility value of RA patients was(0.77±0.25),and the value of EQ-VASwas(76.44±43.65).The health-related problems of RA patients mainly focused on the two dimensions of mobility and pain or discomfort.Tobit multivariable regression analysis showed that the lowerlevel of education(P=0.042,95%CI:0.032~0.143)and smoking(P=0.013,95%CI:-0.154~-0.019)represented as risk factors affecting HRQoLin RA patients. Conclusions The overall HRQoL and EQ-VAS in RA patients are generally good as compared to the general population, but there are still problemswith lower health utility values.Patients with lower education levels and smoking habits have poorHRQoL.
