Present situation of biotransformation and biosynthesis in the research of bioactive compounds
Bioactive compounds is the substantial basis of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the treatment of various diseases. In view of its low distribution in herbs, biotransformation and biosynthesis by its efficient and recognized high selectivity play an increasingly important role in the research of bioactive compounds. This paper reviewed present situation of the research in biotransformation and biosynthesis. The prospects are discussed as well.
