The flourishing of the academies promoted the prosperity of poetry creation with academy themes in Song Dynasty.Academy poetry had rich cultural connotation in many aspects,including the relationship between academy and imperial examination,Neo-Con-fucianism,Buddhism and Taoism,leisure and etc.The intervening of Neo-Confucianists harmed greatly the aesthetic characteristics of academy poetry.
