Characteristics of the Temporal and Spatial Evolution of Regional Economic Differences in the Western Region
The Thiel index and Gini coefficient were used to determine the relative differences of regional economic differences in 12 provinces in the western region from 2010 to 2021,and the global spatial autocorrelation and local autocorrelation were analyzed by the Moran index. The results show that the change trend of regional differences and regional overall differences in the decomposition results of Thiel index in the first stage of 2010-2021 are basically the same, and the change trend of Gini coefficient and Thiel index is consis-tent.From the perspective of contribution rate, the contribution rate of southwest China is greater than that of northwest China, which in-dicates that regional coordination in southwest China needs more attention. The results of global and local spatial autocorrelation showed that the regional economy in the western region was spatially correlated and the overall heterogeneity range was small, with H-H ag-glomeration areas concentrated in Shaanxi,Chongqing and Ningxia, and L-L agglomeration areas concentrated in Qinghai,Yunnan,Ti-bet,Guangxi and other regions.
