Research on the New Writing System During the Yan'an Period
During the Yan'an period,the Communist Party of China led and carried out a vigorous new script movement in the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia border area,constructed an independent theoretical system of Chinese character reform,formed a relatively mature pinyin script program,and organically combined it with a mass literacy education campaign,gaining valuable experience in lan-guage construction.The course of its development has accumulated many experiences and lessons for us and has led to important explo-rations for the formulation of a scientific and reasonable character reform program that is in line with China's national conditions,laying a solid foundation for the implementation of a comprehensive character reform after the founding of New China.
