Discussion on the Effect of Chiropractic on Children's Growth and Development Based on Brain-gut Axis Theory
Brain-gut axis theory is a concept of the interaction between brain and gut proposed by modern medicine. The chiropractic technique in traditional Chinese medicine is to stimulate the"sea of Yang pulse"-Du channel, and the muscles on both sides of the body to stimulate the functions of the viscera and the system,so as to play a positive role in the regulation, growth and development of the viscera and brain of the human body, especially the growth and development of children.Based on the theory of brain-gut axis, this paper explores the mechanism of brain function from the gut through neuroendocrine, immune and metabolite pathways. In connection with the modern medical mechanism of chiropractic manipulation acting on the specific meridians of the back to activate the neuroendocrine system, regulate the intestinal flora and regulate the immune system,as well as the traditional Chinese medicine mechanism of stimulating the Du channel to maintain the Yuan Yang of the zang-fu organs and integrating the Yang into the Du channel to achieve the harmonization of the brain and intestine, this paper discusses the effect of chiropractic therapy on the regulation of the zang-fu organs in children's growth and development.Effects that promote brain development.
