摘要
采用田野调查法,收集了黄山市5A级景区公共标识语语料,总结归纳了景区公共标识语外语译写现状.调查结果表明,外语标牌尤其是多语标牌覆盖率不高;公共标识语英文译写质量堪忧,主要存在译名不一致、拼写不规范、中式英语、胡乱翻译、欠额翻译和过度翻译等问题.建议从发挥政府的顶层推动作用、重视多部门和行业协作、倡导全员参与三方面进行建设和优化,从而提升外国游客的旅游体验,提高黄山市的知名度和美誉度,将其打造成生态型国际化世界级休闲度假旅游目的地城市.
Abstract
Using the field survey method,public signs in 5A-level scenic spots in Huangshan City were collected,and the cur-rent situation of translation and spelling of the public signs was summarized.The survey shows that the quality of English transla-tion and spelling of the public signs should be further improved,with the main problems including inconsistency in translating prop-er names,non-standardized spelling,Chinglish,haphazard translation,under-translation and over-translation,which seriously af-fects the external image of Huangshan City,hinders the development of its international tourism,and is also not conducive to the in-ternational dissemination of Hui culture.It is suggested that the construction and optimization of foreign language signs should be carried out by the government playing the promotion role,paying attention to the collaboration of multiple departments and indus-tries,and advocating the participation of the public,so as to enhance the capacity of foreign language service of Huangshan City,further improve the tourism experience for foreign tourists,increase the popularity and reputation of Huangshan City,and develop it into an ecological,international and world-class tourism destination.
