Comparision on Growth and Biomass of 11 5- year- old Eucalypt Clones
Growth, biomass and productivity of 1 1 5 - year - old eucalypt clones stands in Leizhou Peninsula were studied. The results showed that diameter at breast height, tree height and individual volume of 11 euca- lypt clones between each other were significantly different. The order of stand volume was: DH201-2 〉 LMI 〉 DH32-,, 〉 LH1 〉 GL9〉 EC~〉 EC4s〉 U6〉 TM3〉 EC42〉 EC40 .Thebiomassoffive components changed different- ly with stem - wood having the highest biomass and leaves the lowest. The order of various components' biomass of DH32-22, GL9, LH~, ECa, EC4s, EC4s, TM3 and U6 was stem - wood 〉 roots 〉 bark 〉 branch- es 〉 leaves and stem - wood 〉 roots 〉 branches 〉 bark 〉 leaves for DH20~-2, EC33 and LM1. The order of stand biomass and productivity of 11 eucalypt clones were LM1〉 DH20~-2〉 EC33〉 LH1〉 DH32-=〉 GLg〉 Us〉 EC4s〉 EC42〉 EC40〉 TM and DH201-2〉 LM~〉 EC33〉 LH,〉 DH32-~〉 GL9〉 Us〉 EC4s〉 EC42〉 EC40〉 TM3 respectively . Growth, biomass and productivity of DH~oL-2, DH32-,,, EC33 and LM~ stands were higher than those of others', which could be used for fuel forest. Us, ECa, EC42, EC,o and TM3 were not suitable for fuel forest because of their low growth and biomass conversion efficiency.
