Soil Nutrient Characteristics and Quality Evaluation of Eucalyptus Plantations in South Guangxi
The changes in soil available nutrients in Eucalyptus plantations in south Guangxi from 2019 to 2023 after adopting the technology of soil testing and formula fertilization were compared and analyzed, which provided the basis for scientific guidance of fertilization. The results showed that the soil in Eucalyptus plantations in south Guangxi was generally highly acidic.Long-term high-intensity planting of Eucalyptus resulted in the decrease of soil fertility, and the soil phosphorus content had dropped to historical low levels. The spatial distribution of soil organic matter and alkali-hydrolyzed nitrogen in Eucalyptus plantations in the eastern part of latosolic red soil region showed an increase with increasing latitude. The soil fertility retention ability in coastal areas was poor, and the content of alkali-hydrolytic nitrogen and available potassium was relatively low.The soil organic matter content of Eucalyptus plantations in south Guangxi showed a steady upward trend through soil testing and fertilization adjustment, and the Daguishan Forest Farm in the western part of latosolic red soil increased significantly. The effect of formula fertilization has been verified for a long time.It is still necessary to actively regulate soil pH,apply organic fertilizer and alkaline fertilizer, and formulate scientific fertilizer formula to improve fertilizer utilization efficiency.
