The Entry of Confucianism into Borderland and the Construction of the Unified Order:Investigation on the Traditional Ancestor-worshipping Activities of the Jin Family in Tunpu in Guizhou
Guizhou Tunpu is a special historical product under the strategies of"adjusting the north to conquer the south"and"adjusting the north to fill the south"from the perspective of the national govern-ance of the Ming Dynasty.It still has traces of the integration and interaction between the major cultural traditions of the Central Plains and the small cultural traditions of the Southwest region since the Ming Dy-nasty.The Tunpu family,represented by the Jin family,held large-scale ancestor worship activities in southwestern ethnic minority settlements for a long period of time and periodically,which continuously in-filtrated the traditional culture of the Central Plains,with Confucianism as the main body,and stimulated the awakening of local cultural awareness,continuously showcasing the inherent characteristics of the di-verse and integrated Chinese civilization,and continuously demonstrating the historical function and practi-cal value of Tunpu culture in strengthening the sense of Chinese national community.
