Research on the Reform of English Major Talent Training System under the Background of Teacher Education Accreditation:A Case Study of Anshun University
In recent years,with the continuous strengthening of teacher education in our country,the accreditation of teacher education programs has been identified as an important measure,which has provid-ed guidance for the development of teacher education.This article,based on the accreditation of teacher education programs,investigates and summarizes the existing problems in the operation of English teacher education programs at local undergraduate institutions.English program curricula and educational objec-tives are similar across different levels of universities,lacking differentiation.Elective courses in English programs are not appropriately designed.Teacher education courses lack distinctiveness,have insufficient credits,lack relevance to English program courses,and focus more on theory than practice.To address these issues,this article takes Anshun College as an example and proposes strategies for cultivating Eng-lish teacher education students at local institutions.These strategies include optimizing the curriculum sys-tem,establishing collaborative mechanisms across departments and disciplines,emphasizing the relevance and professionalism of elective courses,introducing the latest technology and teaching concepts,and en-hancing the practicality of teacher education courses by enriching the content and methods of practical teaching.These measures aim to enhance the comprehensive abilities and employability of English teacher education students.
