As a part of the national ecological culture,ethnic architecture not only carries the national emotion and culture,but also contains the unique aesthetic concept of the nation.The slate building com-plex in Gaodang Village presents the unique original and structural aesthetic tendency of the Buyi people with its unique material selection and structural layout.It shows the Buyi people's ecological and aesthetic views of advocating nature and harmony between man and nature to the world,and spreads the natural,spiritual and spatial aesthetic characteristics and values of the slate building complex.It provides a new way of thinking and path for examining traditional ethnic architecture.
