Using Norman Fairclough's three-dimensional model of discourse as a framework,this pa-per interprets the characteristics for the construction of the ideological and political discourse system in for-eign language courses in university:emphasizing the interactive relationship between text,discourse prac-tice,and social practice,highlighting the social and cultural nature of discourse,advocating critical think-ing and discourse analysis,and focusing on practical application.Specific measures concerning the con-struction encompass optimizing course design,innovating teaching methods,strengthening the construc-tion of teaching staff,and establishing evaluation and feedback mechanisms.In the process of discourse system construction,attention should be paid to maintaining the professionalism of language teaching,a-voiding excessive politicization,attaching importance to the diversity and dynamism of discourse,emphasi-zing the social constructive role of discourse,and strengthening empirical research.Meanwhile the security system pushes the construction.
