有限元模拟软件在半导体物理学教学中的应用

随着教育理念的不断更新,将有限元模拟软件COMSOL Multiphysics引入半导体物理学课程的教学中,对相关物理知识进行定量分析,有利于学生对课本上的理论知识理解得更加透彻.使用COMSOL仿真软件模拟n型AlGaAs/n型GaAs同型异质结、p型Al-GaAs/n型GaAs反型异质结的能带结构和载流子浓度分布图,介绍高电子迁移率晶体管的工作原理及PN结电流电压特性曲线特性图.教学实践表明,将COMSOL引入半导体物理学的课堂教学中可以提高学生的学习效果,培养学生的科研创新能力.
Application of Finite Element Simulation Software in Semiconductor Pshysics Teaching
With the continuous updating of educational concepts,the finite element simulation soft-ware,named COMSOL Multiphysics is introduced into the teaching of semiconductor physics to conduct quantitative analysis of relevant physics knowledge.In this paper,the energy band structure and carrier concentration profile of the n-AlGaAs/n-GaAs and p-AlGaAs/n-GaAs heterojunction simulated by COMSOL are discussed in detail.On this basis,the working principle of high electron mobility transistor(HEMT),and the current-voltage characteristic diagram of PN junction are introduced.The teaching practice shows that the introduction of COMSOL into the classroom teaching of semiconductor physics can improve students'learning effect and cultivate their ability of scientific research.
