Mitral regurgitation(MR)is a common type of valvular heart disease.Thoracoscopic mitral valvuloplasty(MVP)for MR is an emerging minimally invasive surgical method,which has the advantages of less trauma and quick postoperative recovery,and is favored by patients and cardiac surgeons.However,the surgical technique is difficult and the training cycle of surgeons is long.This article is to share the specific operation steps of transthoracic MVP for MR based on clinical experience.
