河南西峡县下营长岭岗旧石器地点调查简报

摘要
2020年9-10月,吉林大学考古学院与南阳市文物考古研究所组队,对西峡县境内进行旧石器考古专项调查,新发现14处旧石器地点,获石器400多件.其中,下营长岭岗地点位于河南省南阳市西峡县西坪镇下营村,在这次调查中收获石器20件,类型包括石核、石片、断块和工具等,以石英为主要原料,工具使用锤击法简单加工而成.根据地貌、地层及石器工业特点,初步判断地质年代为中更新世阶段,即旧石器时代早期.
Abstract
From September to October 2020,The School of Archaeology Jilin University,in collaboration with the Nan-yang Cultural Relics and Archaeology Research Institute,conducted a special survey on Paleolithic archaeology in Xixia Coun-ty,and 14 new Paleolithic archaeology sites were discovered,with more than 400 stone artifacts obtained.Among them,the Xiaying Changlinggang site is located in Xiaying Village,Xiping Town,Xixia County,Nanyang City,Henan Province.20 stone artifacts were discovered in this survey,the types of which include cores,flakes,chunks and tools,etc.,primarily made from quartz and manufactured through simple percussion techniques.Based on the geomorphology,stratigraphy,and character-istics of the lithic industry,the geological age is preliminarily determined to be from the Middle Pleistocene,representing the Early Paleolithic period.
