Starting from the existing understanding,based on the published archaeological materials,and through com-parison with the related archaeological cultures in the surrounding areas,this paper divides the Hamin Mangha culture into two periods.The early period corresponds to the late Hongshan Culture and the Miaozigou Culture,dating from 3500 BCE to 3000 BCE.The late period corresponds to the late Xiaoheyan Culture,dating from 3000 BCE to 2500 BCE.
