Direct records of the Fengfu System(funerary gift-giving system)from the Western Zhou period,such as Qiance(funerary gifts list)and Fengfang,have not yet been discovered,but there are bronze vessels with different inscrip-tions,foreign countries and foreign ethnicities unearthed in the Western Zhou cemeteries,which are not made by the tomb own-ers,provide important material evidence for studying the Fengfu System.By examining these bronze artifacts in conjunction with literature records,we can explore the foreign inscribed bronze artifacts unearthed in Hengshui Cemetery M2158.The Lu-Hou Ding,TaiBao Li,and Yagao Fujia high-handled Hu were funerary gifts given to the tomb owner PengBo by LuHou,TaiBao,and Yagao.These gifts not only express remembrance of the deceased but also reflect the deeper social relationships that maintained harmonious state relations.They linked the Zhou dynasty with various feudal states,highlighting their signifi-cant political role in ensuring national stability and security.
