Focusing on the administrative area of present-day Qingdao City, this study centers on the ceramics un-earthed and collected in the Qingdao region from the Han to Ming and Qing Dynasties.By systematically sorting these ceramics based on features such as body glaze and form, the study analyzes and discusses issues related to their era and kiln origins.Combining historical documents,it investigates the transportation interaction between Qingdao and neighboring regions at differ-ent periods,as well as the trade exchanges with southern areas. This provides archaeological evidence for Qingdao's status as a transportation hub for both water and land routes.
