Effects of Nitrogen Forms on the Physiological Characteristics of Panax ginseng
Taking three-year-old Panax ginseng plants as the test materials,a pot experiment was conducted to study the effects of different concentrations of ammonium nitrogen and nitrate nitrogen on the physiological indicators of Panax ginseng roots by altering the nitrogen form and concentration in Hoagland nutrient solution,in order to provide reference for the use of nitrogen fertilizers during the cultivation and growth of Panax ginseng. The results showed that the soluble sugar content in Panax ginseng root decreased gradually with the increase of nitrogen concentration, and the reduction effect of ammonium nitrogen treatment was more significant than that of nitrate nitrogen treatment. The contents of starch and free amino acid in Panax ginseng root increased gradually with the increase of nitrogen concentration, and the contents of starch and free amino acid were the highest in 25 mmol·L-1 ammonium nitrogen treatment, which was significantly higher than that in 25 mmol·L-1 nitrate nitrogen treatment, and the increase of ammonium nitrogen treatment was more obvious than that in nitrate nitrogen treatment. The content of soluble protein in Panax ginseng root increased gradually with the increase of nitrogen application concentration, and the content of soluble protein in Panax ginseng root increased first and then decreased with the increase of nitrogen application concentration, and the content of soluble protein in Panax ginseng root with the addition of ammonium nitrogen increased the highest at 15 mmol·L-1,and the soluble protein in Panax ginseng root with the addition of 25 mmol·L-1 ammonium nitrogen was significantly lower than that in the control. The total protein content in Panax ginseng root increased first and then decreased with the increase of nitrogen concentration, and the highest content was found at 15 mmol·L-1 ammonium nitrogen treatment. The total protein content in Panax ginseng root at 5,15 mmol·L-1 ammonium nitrogen treatments were significantly higher than that at the same concentration of nitrate nitrogen treatment.
