Physiological Responses of Different Wild Strawberry Varieties Under Salt Stress and Differential Analysis of Salt Tolerance
Taking five diploid wild strawberry cultivars as the test materials, seven physiological indexes of salt resistance, included relative water content(RWC),chlorophyll content(SPAD),malondialdehyde content(MDA),ROS content(O2·and H2O2),superoxide dismutase(SOD)and peroxidase(POD),were measured and analyzed in seedling stage with different levels of salt stress treatments. Then the salt tolerances of five strawberry cultivars were evaluated based on principal components analysis,in order to provide reference for screening wild strawberry varieties with strong salt tolerance. The results showed that the RWC and SPAD value show decreasing trend,MDA and ROS contents increased, the activity of antioxidant enzymes(SOD and POD)increased first and then decreased with the increase of salt stress time. But there were large differences of variations in seven physiological indexes of different cultivars.Through the principal component analysis of salt stress treatment, the salt tolerance of five wild strawberry cultivars was obtained, which was'15-5'>'02-9 Forest'>'05-12'>'Ruegen'>'44-6'.
