Analysis of Regional Competitiveness and Research of the Spatio-temporal Characteristics of Pepper Industry Cluster in Guizhou Province
Based on the relevant statistical data of pepper industry from 9 Cities(Prefectures)in Guizhou Province from 2018 to 2022,the location quotient coefficient(LQ),concentration coefficient(CC),scale advantage index(SAI),efficiency advantage index(EAI)and comprehensive comparative advantage index(AAI)were adopted to explore the competitiveness of regional pepper industry cluster in Guizhou Province,and the spatio-temporal characteristics was further carried out through Markov chain,in order to provide reference for enhancing the competitiveness of the pepper industry cluster in Guizhou Province and making it a pillar industry for rural revitalization.The results showed that,1)Zunyi,Bijie,Tongren and Qiannan prefecture had cluster advantages in terms of centralization.Their regional cluster competitiveness was strong,because their AAI values were all greater than 1,among which the cluster competitiveness of Zunyi was the strongest.Also,the reasons for the strong competitiveness of the four regional cluster were different.2)The competitiveness of regional pepper industry cluster in Guizhou Province was stable in terms of spatiotemporal evolution,and there was a phenomenon of'weak club convergence'to certain geographical areas.The probability of maintaining the status of medium and high level was the largest.Finally,suggestions were proposed to promote the development of pepper industry cluster from the perspectives of accelerating industrial modernization,leveraging regional competitiveness,et al.
